Marty Boyer is founder, owner and principal of Communication Advantage, a strategic communications firm headquartered in Sacramento, CA, dedicated to improving public outreach on behalf of public and private sector clients facing visible complex or sensitive issues. Ms. Boyer also provides media and presentation training to strengthen elected and appointed officials’ ability to represent their agencies effectively through the news media and public engagement. To date, she has trained more than 20,000 public sector officials in California. She began her career as a news reporter in the San Francisco Bay Area for seven years covering all aspects of local government and the justice system. She went on to serve as public affairs manager for Alameda County for 11 years and formed Communication Advantage in 1995.
